A huge CONGRATULATIONS to the boys’ baseball team for beating Mountain Lakes after a full 7 innings with a score of 9-8.
Oliver Hader had an RBI single and David had two RBI singles. Base running made the difference with Jake Ramm stealing home twice (one time all the way from 2nd base), and Aaron Mills stole home twice. At the top of the 6th inning, Aaron’s steal of home is what put the Falcons on top. Aaron Mills then went on to pitch two innings after Jake Ramm’s stellar performance for five innings. Aaron saw 7 batters and struck out 5 of them. Way to go, boys!

An update on Trep$
Workshop 2 was full of energy, creativity, and big entrepreneur thinking!
This session focused on one of the most important parts of running a business, figuring out unit cost, so students can price their products and actually make a profit. The room was buzzing as students jumped into a hands-on STEM challenge, creating brand new products using everyday materials like paper clips, clothespins, tape, construction paper, popsicle sticks, and pipe cleaners.
Their creativity was incredible. We saw everything from clever organizers to mini inventions and imaginative tools that solved real problems.
But the biggest aha moment came at the end. Students realized it is not just about the cost of materials - their time, effort, and creativity matter too! Especially for detailed, labor-intensive creations, pricing needs to reflect the work behind the scenes.
It was an exciting and eye-opening workshop that left students thinking like true business owners.
Workshop #3
On Friday, our Trep$ program held two focus group sessions with many of our amazing local community volunteers. Our students shared their visions regarding their Trep$ businesses, product idea(s), potential target market, pricing, as well as how they would further promote their businesses outside of school. These focus groups proved incredibly important because they confirmed whether our entrepreneurs were on the right track or needed to make slight revisions to their plans.
What was most astounding was the level of professionalism displayed among our students. They presented themselves respectfully and spoke with great knowledge of their plans. Our community volunteers were blown away by the presentations, and they couldn't believe we had only been working within this program for 3 weeks.
So, kudos to all of our young entrepreneurs!

A big congratulations to the boys’ baseball team for earning their first win on Friday against Riverdale. From the mound, Oliver Hader is credited with 5 strikeouts in 3 innings, and Jake Ramm closed the game with 2 strikeouts.
Jake Ramm had the first hit of the game, followed by a hit from Landon Costa. Oliver Hader then drove in the first run, James Olsen drove in the second run, and then David Levy drove in the third run to give the Falcons an early 3-2 lead. At the start of the 3rd inning, the Falcons were down by one run when Brady Golden drove in the tying run. With David Levy on base, he was able to steal home to once again put the Falcons in the lead. Going into the bottom of the last inning, RVS was down by one run. Jake Ramm got the rally started by stealing second off of a base hit. With Landon Costa up to bat, he advanced Jake to 3rd and then stole 2nd. Oliver Hader got up to bat and hit the ball out to right field. Jake Ramm scored to tie it up and Landon Costa rounded 3rd base coming from second and slid into home to score the winning run as the catcher tried to make the play! The final score was 7-6. Your coaches are so proud of you!

Students in Mrs. Lehman’s 7th grade language arts class recently completed a STEAM boat-building project inspired by the novel A Long Walk to Water.🌊📚
In the story, characters build boats to cross the Nile River, and students took on the same challenge. Using straws and other materials, they designed and constructed their own boats, which were then put to the test. 🚤
Two groups came out on top. Well done to all for their creativity, teamwork, and effort!
