What we will be learning:
Reading- Students will be reading biographies focusing on identifying main idea and details, making and supporting inferences, explaining author’s purpose, answering questions using evidence from the text. We will also be studying cvvvc words, contractions, words with suffixes.
Writing- Students will be starting opinion writing. They will be developing an opinion, creating reasons to support their opinion, and developing supporting facts, composing introductions and conclusions, organizing their information and adding transitional words and phrases.
Math- We will be wrapping up our chapter on subtracting within 1000. Our next chapter will focus on multiplying by Multiples of 10 (5 x 20)
Science- We will investigate how these fossils reveal changes in habitat through time. students analyze data from dinosaur fossils in order to provide evidence about their appearance and behavior.
