Hello Falcons!
Welcome to the 2023/2024 School Year! My name is Ms. Mirabella and I am the school counselor here at RVS. I am here to support, guide, and educate students with matters related to their social/emotional needs and concerns within the school community.
As a School Counselor, my role is to help students succeed academically, socially and emotionally. My objective is to be visible, available and especially approachable to students and parents. I am available to respond to the needs of every student here at Rockaway Valley School. I will be implementing school wide programs (such as S.T.A.R. Student) and implementing SEL educational programs, including a new SEL class for 5th and 6th grade students. Services for students with personal needs impacting progress within the school setting include school adjustment counseling, individual check-ins, social skills support, classroom lessons, and small group counseling Counseling services are available to all students through parent, teacher, or self-referral. Crisis intervention and referrals to outside resources are provided as needed.
