
Baseball win: CONGRATULATIONS to the baseball team on winning their first game of the season 7 to 3 against Lincoln Park. Aaron Mills is credited with an RBI single that drove Charlie Jantzen home. Max Stoller had an RBI single that drove in Tommy SanFilippo. Gunnar Hulse had an RBI single that drove in Aaron Mills. Tommy SanFilippo had an RBI single that drove in Chris Coughlin. Gunnar Hulse had an RBI that drove in Charlie Jantzen. Colton Hulse had a 2RBI single that drove in Tommy SanFilippo and Aaron Mills. From the mound, Max Stoller pitched for five innings and is credited with 4 strikeouts. Aaron Mills finished up the game with one strikeout. Defensively, Aaron Mills was responsible for many plays, but what stood out was his amazing double play where he got the batter out and then the runner at first base. Tommy SanFilippo, Charlie Jantzen, and Oliver Hader are each credited with stolen bases. A strong team effort was made by all players!

Louisa Borden was 4 for 4 with 3 runs scored and 2 RBIs. On the mound she only gave up 2 hits and struck out 5. Lydia Ameres had a 2 RBI, base clearing triple. Sixth graders Alana SanFilippo and Antonia Ragucci recorded their first RVS hits. The defense was on point with some big plays, especially Mia Satran at first base. Good luck to the girls as they take on our friends and rivals at Briarcliff this afternoon. Go Falcons!

The Falcons had their third meet yesterday at Dover. For the girls, Zoie Feit placed 1st in the 400, long jump, shot put and discus. Lilliana DiOrio took 1st in the 1600 and 800, with a personal best 800 time of 3:12. Kelsey Glass finished 1st in the 100 for the third time in a row. Vanessa Galloway had a 3rd place finish in the 400. For the boys, Ian Johnson took 1st and Johnny Ponte 2nd in the 1600. Austin Schrager placed 1st and Wiley Luogemeno 2nd in the discus. In the shot put, Anthony Federico finished 2nd and Hudson Luogemeno 1st. Congratulations Falcons on another great meet!

Track and Field: The Falcons competed in their second meet yesterday against Pequannock.
Ian Johnson took first in the 1600 and 800. Anthony Federico took first for RVS in the 100 and 200 meter, 4th in the shot put. Justin Polachek took first and Patrick Duchene placed 2nd for RVS in the 200 meter. For the girls, Kelsey Glass took first in the 100 meter. Gia LeDonne improved her 1600 mile time by 25 seconds. Zoie Feit placed 2nd in the discus. Shanti Starr ran a strong 400 meter for RVS. Vanessa Galloway finished first for RVS in the 400.

The track and field team had their first meet at Bernardsville yesterday. For the girls, Kelsey Glass placed first in the 100 meter. Zoie Feit took first in the 400, and got her personal best jump of 13 feet 6 inches. Vanessa Galloway took 2nd in the 100 and 200 meter. Sasha Patti finished 2nd in the 200 meter in her heat. Lillian DiOrio was top finisher for RVS in the 1600. In the shot put, Arielle Murillo secured second place.
For the boys, Ian Johnson had a strong first place finish in the 1600 tying his personal best time of 5:17. Hudson Luogemeno placed second in the hurdles with a 19.5 second time.
Anthony Federico took first in the 400, second in the shot put. Austin Schrager took second place in the 100 and 200 meter. Congratulations Falcons on a great first meet!

To honor Dr. King and his legacy, Mrs. Baldini's class made Breakfast Bags for 2 local feeding programs: nourish.NJ and Denvile Voices for Racial Justice. Bravo 4th Grade!


Mrs. Laing's class read a book about Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and talked about how he made positive changes in a peaceful way. They brainstormed ways that they could make positive changes at home or school. Each student wrote their ideas down and then made a picture of Dr. King.


Congratulations to the Falcons in a win over Wharton on Monday. Jake Davi led all scorers with 13 points followed by Anthony Frederico with 9. Ian and Kevin Johnson combined for 7 points while Colton and Gunnar Hulse combined for 10. David Levy pulled down 7 rebounds and Luca Liberatore hit a 3 in the final minutes of the game.
Congratulations to the JV team on a 12-0 shut-out against Wharton. Conor Velasquez led the team with 6 points, followed by Hirsh Joshi with 4 points, and Luca Liberatore added 2. Great passing and defense by all.

On Tuesday, The girls basketball team took down Mendham Boro 54-52. Charlee Giangercio had the most rebounds and put up 14 points. AB Leung ran the offense and added 11. Lucci Lentz had another stellar performance contributing 15. Grace Conklin had 3 3 pointers and a game total of 13 points. Louisa Borden and Piper Hulse fought hard under the basket leading us to the win!

This past Saturday, three fantastic RVS musicians participated in the NJAB Honors Band concert. The 8th grade band members, Marco Cera, Zoie Feit, and Nevaan Jha, performed well, and the music sounded wonderful. Congratulations to our musicians for auditioning, making the band, practicing and performing so well!

The Lady Falcons played an awesome game against Mendham Boro on Friday. With sickness and injury plaguing our team, we found ourselves with only 5 varsity players. High scorer of the game was Lucci Lentz with 24 points followed by Charlee Gianguercio 15, Grace Conklin 10 and Annie Bush 6. Ashlee Krasnomowitz subbed in to help press, and break Mendham’s press on us! Piper Hulse did a great job rebounding for RVS! That was the closest, most exciting game we had all season! Great job, girls!
Our JV girls tied Mendham Boro on Friday in another very exciting game! Sophia Bagli led the team with 6 points and Antonia had 2. Mila Da Rocha did a great job rebounding for RVS and Chloe Stoller played great in her zone stopping them from scoring. Congratulations girls!

Congratulations to Jack Wright, Luca Liberatore, Johnny Ponte, Alex Ameres, and Brandon Bednar for beating Riverdale’s JV team. Jack and Luca were the high scorers with 6 points each. Johnny scored 4 points, and Alex and Brandon each added 2 points. The boys played excellent man to man defense to defeat the opposing team 20 to 5.
Additional kudos to Ian Johnson, Kevin Johnson, Gunnar Hulse, Jake Davi, Hirsh Joshi, and JV players Jack, Luca, and Alex who worked hard on the court against Riverdale’s varsity team yesterday even though the ending score was short one basket. Your coaches are very proud of you!

The lead scorer for RVS was Charlee Gianguercio with 14, followed by Grace Conklin 10, Lucci Lentz 8, AB Leung with 6, Ashlee Krasnomowitz with 4 and Annie Bush with 2. Sophia Bagli, Mila DaRocha, and Chloe Stoller all played amazing defense contributing to the team’s win. Congratulations, girls!!
