Dear RVS Parents and Community,

Tomorrow, Wednesday, February 25th, we will have a delayed opening.

The overnight and morning temperatures are expected to between 20 and 28°. We are expected to get a couple of inches from a clipper system passing through. Unfortunately, the timing will coincide with the morning commute and the opening of school. The combination of the time, temperature, and snow require a delayed opening for everyone’s safety. It’s best to allow the professionals to properly prepare the roads and grounds first.

I’d like to express my sincere gratitude for our custodial crew and the town’s municipal team for the incredible work they did yesterday, last night and this morning in clearing and preparing the roads and school grounds. An additional shout out to our bus drivers clearing and preparing the buses very early this morning. Thank you.

Sincerely,
Ken Frattini

The Lady Falcons defeated Bloomingdale in the final round of the tournament this past Saturday by a score of 45-38 in a very exciting, close game! Lucci Lentz played strong defense, and scored 18 points for RVS. Ab Leung showed her speed and agility by running point for RVS, and scoring 13 points. Grace Conklin played a great all around game, and also scored 13 points; she scored 4- 3 pointers, one foul shot, and had 3 steals and 3 defensive rebounds. Ann Bush moved the ball well, and played great defense. Charlee Gianguercio worked tirelessly to press them, get rebounds, and dish the ball out to open players. Kendall Hulse, Ashlee Krasnomowitz, and Talia DiOrio boxed out under the basket, and got rebounds for RVS. We couldn’t be more proud of this team for giving it everything they had to bring home first place and the banner to RVS! Congratulations girls on this great accomplishment!
