June
Science & S.S.
In science, the students are working on Unit 6, Lesson 2: Evidence of Change from Fossils and Rock Formations. They experimented with "dig sites" to discover fossils. The students are learning about index fossils, key beds, rock layers, and mass extinction. Next in social studies, the class will visit the southwest and west regions of the United States. Ask your children what they have learned!

Teach a Lesson
For the month of June, the students will get to teach the class a lesson, activity, or skill. They should plan on it being around twenty minutes. The students will have access to multiple how-to books and lesson plans from me as well as the Internet. The students will have access to all materials that I have in the classroom. The twenty-minute time includes the activity, project, game, or worksheet that the other students will do to in order to show their knowledge gained. The students will have selected the dates in which they will present on either June 13th, 14th, or 17th.
