January/February:
Welcome to January!
7th Grade: 7th graders are currently exploring the various Dynasties that make up Ancient China. From the great wall to the silk route, all areas and accomplishments will be brought to light!
8th Grade: Students started off the New Year by doing a cross curricular unit with Language Arts and the novel "Night". In SS, we have been reviewing the history that led to Hitler's rise to power. From there, we are working on a project to connect to what a normal life was like prior to the Holocaust and everything being ripped away. Students will explore their own lives to connect a sense of "normal" and empathy through history.
