Frequently Asked Questions

Q:  Can my Kindergarten through 8th grade child take P.E. if they forgot their sneakers?

A:  No.  All students must wear sneakers to participate in P.E.

Q: If my child gets injured outside of school, do they have to take P.E?

A: The student must bring in either a doctor's note or parental note.  They must give the note to the school nurse.  She will then hand the student a slip that the student must give the P.E. teacher.

Q: If my child plays a sport for RVS, are they required to take physical education class?

A: Yes.  There are no special exemptions for RVS athletes.

Q: My son/daughter plays sports for RVS.  Are they required to run the mile the day of a game?

A: Yes.  Students must show effort.  If no effort is given, then full credit will not be given to the child.

Q: When are your extra help periods and how do they work?

A: My extra help periods are Monday and Tuesday morning from 7:17am to 7:37am.  Please make an appointment if you want to come on another day or after school.   My extension at the school is 241.
